Laetitia Cloutier holds a master’s degree with thesis from Laval University on precision feeding in growing finishing pigs. Since 2013, she is working at the Quebec swine development center in Quebec city, as a feed and nutrition research project leader. She continued to work on precision feeding, transposing now her knowledge in gestating and lactating sows. The CDPQ having built recently a 600 sows research barn with facility for precision feeding, Laetitia and her partners have carried out a first major project on precision feeding in gestating sows, taking advantage of the fact that the herd was composed of gilts only. Today, she will present to you the first results of this project.
