Dr. Jinsu Hong graduated with his bachelor’s in Animal Science & biotechnology from Seoul National University (Seoul, Republic of Korea) in 2012 and during his undergraduate career he worked at the SNU swine unit. He went on to complete his swine nutrition M.S. (2014) and Ph.D. (2018) degrees at Seoul National University with his research emphasis related to the energy, protein, amino acid requirements of growing-finishing pigs and sows.
In June of 2018, he joined the swine nutrition research group in the Department of Animal Science at South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD) and is currently a postdoctoral research associate. In this role, Jinsu conducts research projects on monogastric animals such as pigs and broiler chickens and helps graduate students with their research.
