My name is Andres Tolosa, I am originally from Colombia. I grew up in a small city called Duitama in Boyaca. I went to college in Bogota to the National University of Colombia where I graduated with a B.S. in Animal Sciences. After a year internship with Smithfield Premium Genetics in Texas, I went back to my country, where I worked for Agropecuaria ALIAR-La Fazenda as a finisher supervisor. I had the opportunity to come to the USA to continue my academic career. Under the guidance of Dr. Mike Ellis and The Maschhoffs program, I did a master's at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After this, I was fortunate enough to transition to The Kansas State University Applied Swine Nutrition Team where I currently defended my second master's degree in applied swine nutrition.
