Dr. Junmei Zhao works at Cargill Animal Nutrition as a technical lead. She is responsible for developing and deploying new technologies in swine nutrition, supporting Cargill regional products, services, and solutions. Her areas of interest include animal nutrition, farm management, digital tools, and microbiome. Dr Zhao received her Ph. D in animal nutrition and immunology from Virginia Tech in 2005. Her doctoral research focused on the effects of dietary protein sources and small peptides on intestinal nutrient transport gene expression and immune function in pigs.
