Laetitia Cloutier holds a master’s degree with thesis from Laval University on precision feeding in growing finishing pigs. Since 2013, she is working at the Quebec swine development center in Quebec city, as a feed and nutrition research project leader. She continued to work on precision feeding, transposing now her knowledge in gestating and lactating sows. The CDPQ having built recently a 675 sows research barn with facility for precision feeding, Laetitia and her partners have carried out a first major project on precision feeding in gestating sows, taking advantage of the fact that the herd was composed of gilts only.
