Brandon graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with an Animal Science degree and special emphasis in meat science. In 1997 he joined PIC as a Pork Chain Specialist, focusing on in-plant data collection. He soon expanded his role to include technical services to the integrator and packer. Today, Brandon is PIC’s Manager of Applied Meat Science. He spends his time working with key integrated accounts around the globe to improve hog marketing strategies for maximum profitability, improvements in animal welfare from farm through plant, and in-plant operational challenges that affect both efficiencies and meat quality.
