Laura Merriman is employed by AB Vista where she provides technical support to the North American swine industry. Laura completed her doctoral education at the University of Illinois under the guidance of Dr. Hans Stein where she investigated the factors affecting the digestibility of calcium in pigs. She attended Illinois State University for her undergraduate and masters coursework. Her masters thesis was under the guidance of Jon Holt and looked at the addition of fermented soybean meal or phytase on phosphorus digestibility.
