Joaquín Sánchez Zannatta is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta. His research focuses on the evaluation of the nutritional and functional characteristics of barley in weaned pigs and the use of feed processing to hence the nutritional value of barley. He is particularly interested in exploring body composition, metabolite and microbial profiles, and gut health of weaned pigs fed barley differing in fermentable carbohydrates.
